Tenshi is from the Land. He grew up in a town heavily influenced by the samurai. His father is a very well-known samurai warrior. Growing up, Tenshi did not long to follow in his father Oni's steps as his brothers did. Tenshi was forced to learn the ways of the samurai but his heart was not in it. This caused a lot of tension in the house and he was picked on by his brothers mercilessly. Before he left, Oni gave him the Wakizashi that Tenshi had used to train with. His father hoped that he would eventually come around and want to be a samurai like his father. Tenshi was sent off to a boarding school to escape the situation. Oni was not pleased with Tenshi and sent him away. Oni gave Tenshi a Wakizashi in hopes that Tenshi would realize that he wanted to be a samurai. Tenshi struggled in school. He realized that he had a magical ability. Tenshi could do things that others could not explain. He decided to leave school and go explore the world. He found passage on a boat that he didn't know where it was going and he didn't care. This is how he came to be in Salvation. Tenshi does not know that Oni is not his real father. Tenshi's mother was the unfortunate victim of a fiend's desires. She knew that if the town heard about this, Oni would lose a lot of respect. She kept quiet and bore the child and raised as her own, never telling anyone of what happened.
