I have been traveling and adventuring with my new companions for about a month now, and I must say we are an unusual crew. My most unusual companion is a Half-Orc Barbarian name Grim... He is a bruiser in every sense of the word, when we have gotten into battle he rushes in dealing death as he goes. I also travel with a man from the land, he is quite not sure of our customs, his name is Tenshi, a sorcerer by trade and deadly with his magic shuriken. My other companion, Ciwin, is a wide eyed human from Dhara's Grove, he is a priest of sorts, but unlike most does not worship a particular god.

After A brief adventure to recover spell components we decided to take a journey down to Dhara's Grove to partake of the festival. We left for the spring festival aboard a small private barge, about 10 hours into the journey we ran into a small flotilla of boats clogging the river and slowing the pace of travel to a snails crawl.

After a couple of hours there was a commotion at the front of the flotilla, A group of lizard men were making there way towards a boat bearing the markings of the Nature God, Tenshi was the first to act sending several of his force missiles at an unsuspecting lizard man, which turned his and his nearest companions attention toward us. Moving in the middle of a river from boat to boat was a challenge, and the lizards were far away. We noticed that the lizards were indeed advancing on the nature priests boat, Grim leapt out towards the boat next to us, which was a little bigger than ours and grabbed hold of the deck. I began to shoot arrows at the lizards advancing striking one in the chest but not felling him. Tenshi shifted positions and fired another set of force shuriken at the advancing lizards. Meanwhile Grim had managed to pull himself up onto the Big boat and started leaping from boat to boat meeting a group of the lizards to engage them. Ciwin held his action waiting for some of the Lizards to come into range and as they attempted to board our boat he hit them with a fan of flames, killing the one I had wounded earlier and injuring the other which landed next to Tenshi who immediately tried to hit him with his sword, I rolled behind the lizard with Tenshi on the other side and using the advantages this gave me struck him down. In the meantime Grim was doing battle with a group of lizards out in the middle, he felled one but the others had done a good amount of damage to him and the Biggest of the Lizards was throwing flaming oil onto the Nature Priests boat, several young men lept off the flaming boat into the river, but we could here an older voice crying out for help. Grim Being gravely wounded made his way back to Ciwin for healing as Ciwin, Tenshi and I began to advance from boat to boat. In the time we had made it from our boat to the next, Grim had come halfway across the river to Ciwin who promptly gave him some healing. Grim Bounced back across the river as the Lead Lizard Continued to set the nature priests boat aflame. Tenshi fired a couple of shuriken at the lead lizard, and I fired an arrow at him missing.

Grim made his way to the flaming boat and climbed up just as the lead lizard began to climb up, in the mean while, Tenshi had stunned a lizard with a cantrip that was trying to make its way to us putting it in the watter, and then attempted to move to another boat falling into the water. I fired another arrow towards the lead lizard missing again, I saw Grim attacked the lizard and defend the priest when I heard Tenshi being attacked in the water behind me, Ciwin was making his way towards Tenshi diving into the water and casting a spell at the lizard causing it to flee. Many of the other lizards near the priests boat chose this time to flee as well, however the lead lizard continued to due battle with Grim, exchanging blows I dove into the water and made my way to the boat right in front of the priests boat when I heard a mighty battle cry from Grim and a scream from the lizard followed by a splash.

Grim Picked up the priest who turned out to be Vato Olorian himself and brought him back to our boat. Followed by the rest of the group. Introductions were made and Vato thanked us for our help. As a reward Tenshi was given a wand which Vato explained it would identify any items of a magical nature that we found but it was not fully charged. We asked Vato if there was any reason the lizard man came after him, he said that he had a holy symbol of we-jas and did not have a tail.

We made our way to Dhara's Grove and went to see Ciwin father Bodwin, who was making a most excellent stew, Grim and Ciwin helped do some chores and after a nice rest we headed back into town.

We made our way through the gate, and walked down the street into town, a young man who was clearly upset was arguing with an older man. The older man reached up and slapped the younger man across the face. The young man turned ran down the road crying, and ran smack into Grim. Grim picked the lad up into the air, the young man explained that his father had recently died and that his Uncle Bill was cheating him out of his half of the business, and that there were documents inside the safe in the building to prove it.

I told Ciwin I would be right back, and he looked at me like he thought I was about to do something rash, I walked into the store to ?look around? I noticed a mark of protection on the door, but was not sure what it was, the shelves of the store were packed with assorted merchandise and the door had a quality lock on it, I went back to my group and explained I would be right back? The boy asked that he could come along, and I advised him that I wasn't going to do anything right now. My companions went to sign up for festival events, and I went to see some old friends about the mark on the door. I learned that this building was protected by a group of corrupt guards. I met back up with my companions and we signed up for several events.

After discussing our actions with my companions we set out to see Jamus and let him know we were going to get the information he required from his uncles store. Jamus left us for awhile to prepare and this worried me. Later he came back and we advised he and Tenshi to stand watch over the alley and roads leading to the store. Grim, Ciwin and I went into the store and began to look for a safe or the documents proving Jamus was part owner of the store, there was a commotion outside and several men came rushing into the room. The Initial battle inside was fierce, but we were holding our own, Grim and Ciwin assisted me in obtaining proper position to disable some of the men who had come in to fight us. One of the men outside announced they were guards, and that if we did not sender they would kill our companion outside, (this really didn't strike me as the behavior of a real guard) I promptly called back that we could make the same threat. At this point Jamus came rushing through but he was fighting with the guards, fortunately at this point for Jamus Grim was occupied trying to burst his way the guards at the door to help Tenshi. Unfortunately for me Ciwin was pinned in and I had to help him fight off a good number of guards. After a brief fight most of the guards were disabled and Jamus ran into the store, unfortunately by this time Grim had noticed he had turned on us and rushed after him. A couple minutes later Grim came back with an unconscious Jamus, the remaining ?guards? were in flight ? possibly returning with friends. After some discussion we decided to lock the remaining guards and get the constable, which just isn't a natural act for me after a job. Fortunately Jamus and his friends had been pulling this scam for a while, and the constable was happy we had caught them.

The morning after our little attempt to help a con artist, we started participating in the festival events. Grim Won a couple of arm wrestling matches before losing his concentration and the third match.

We all participated in a magical ladder climb. Grim did well at, both Tenshi and myself were less fortunate

Next came the Temperature ladder climb, which was not a challenge for any of my companions or myself.

Then we went to the Drink smash, I cant believe they talked me into it but both myself and Grim won.

After the days activities we all went back to Ciwin's home for a nights rest and after a brief conversation with Ciwin's father we decided to investigate the reports of the walking dead.
